Hi, I'm Diana
tattoo artist, illustrator & the hands behind Shoekids

Where Shoekids comes from
I'm Diana Tarakanova — a Ukrainian tattoo artist and illustrator, also known as Diana Diaz. I taught myself to tattoo at 17, and since 2017 tattooing has been my whole world.
Shoekids are small, emotional characters — little people in boots. The name comes from a childhood game: sliding your feet into shoes twice your size and believing, just for a moment, that you're already grown up. Every Shoekid is a way to keep that curious kid alive.
Together with my partner, tattoo artist Oleksandr But, I've guest-tattooed across Europe and in 45 US states. Now the characters are leaving the skin too — woven into cotton blankets and printed on postcards, made to order by our small family business. Thank you for being part of the Shoekids universe ♡
